 IMPROVE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY

WELCOME

Hello there, I'm Rachel Sinclair and I'd love to help you learn, improve and hone your photographic skills with one of my private or small group wildlife photography workshops in the UK or Africa.

what would you like to view?

WHY JOIN ME?

Over the past 12 years, I've helped hundreds of people from all walks of life to successfully hone their nature and wildlife photography skills and I’d love for you to be my next happy student!

I've led groups and personalised 1:1's both in the UK and internationally.  I've successfully helped complete novices right through to professional photographers wanting to improve their skills in nature and wildlife photography.

I know what it's like to attend a workshop and feel completely out of place!
When I started my photographic career, everyone was older than me and had much better kit! - Even though most of them didn't actually know how to use it!
I've spent thousands of pounds on workshops and seminars only to walk away feeling like I haven't personally learnt anything new and that there were too many people so I didn't get the help & attention I needed to improve my images and build my confidence!

I pride myself on being different. My workshops/safaris are not an excuse for me to tell you how great my photos are. My workshops are all about YOU! How I can help YOU get the images you dream of, no matter what kit you have. I understand the importance of being patient and I have the ability to easily explain and help YOU to become competent in the skills and techniques you need to get that perfect shot. I'll guide you through the nuances of animal behaviour, camera settings, skills and techniques so
YOU can take stunning photographs, worthy of hanging on your living room wall!

Our workshops are fun, super relaxed and I've learnt how to put the most nervous of people at ease! Everyone is helped individually so it really doesn’t matter what level of photography you enjoy currently and it doesn’t matter what camera kit you have.

Everyone is truly, very welcome.

"Wildlife photography is my absolute passion and I believe, above all else, photography should be a fun and enjoyable experience for us AND the wildlife!"

my ethos

slow down and really see!

Life is so incredibly busy and we can miss so much!

Whether it be for just a day or a couple of weeks, join me on a photographic adventure and we'll really slow things down!

You will have plenty of time to really enjoy sitting, watching and of course, photographing magnificent nature as it performs right in front of your eyes.

It's not about rushing around the National Parks just so you can tick the animals off your list. It's about really seeing what is before you and the sheer joy that comes from watching the animals and learning about their behaviour and how to photograph them ethically and beautifully.

Slow Down... Wait, Watch, Listen and REALLY See!

"My daughter and I had a workshop training session with Rachel. She was very thorough and we had a great time learning about using our cameras away from the basic settings and introducing the use of more advanced functions."

Bill Jameson

"I decided I needed to take photography lessons to learn more about my camera and I have to say Rachel has been amazing. Rachel explains everything so well and is very patient. I have just changed my camera so will be heading back for some more lessons. If you are thinking about having lessons, I would say book in now!"

Esther Whitmore

"I was very inexperienced, but
a day spent with Rachel taught me so much. Rachel taught me how to use the settings on my camera so I could switch off auto and have much more control over focus, light, framing and much more. I wish I had done this years ago!

Rachel is a fabulous and very patient teacher... I seriously can’t recommend Rachel enough - she has really given me a newfound enthusiasm and much more confidence to try different things. Thanks for an excellent day and I’m so happy with the images I captured that day and the ones I’ve taken since"

"My husband bought this present for me...

What a great day - Rachel made me feel at ease and was extremely knowledgeable. I enjoyed the day immensely and would certainly recommend Rachel to anyone who is interested in photography. What a lovely lady - can't thank her enough. Looking forward to meeting up with her again in the new year."

"Rachel's very good at teaching you the principles of photography, and in applying those principles to practical situations. I went into the workshop with a pretty good understanding of how a camera works and how to take a decent photo, and I still learned loads. I would definitely recommend booking on one of Rachel's workshops if you're a total beginner, or if you want to take your photography skills to the next level."

"It was a pleasure to spend the whole day with Rachel. She gave me some very useful tips and I understand my camera much better now. She also provided links to equipment I need and a word document with basic explanations of how the camera works."

Zienka Domaca

"A great photography teacher. I thought Rachel was passionate and great at giving a bite-size workshop to enhance learning. I particularly enjoyed the practical tasks and understanding composition."

"I took the 'getting off auto' workshop with Rachel and had a great day. The workshop really helped me learn how to take photos, both the 'theory' behind it as well as giving me a lot of practical opportunities to shoot in different scenarios. It was very informative and fun."
